2008 Sunday Morning Kids Club - kids art making in the gallery

Look, listen, learn and create in the gallery with our wonderfully talented Gallery Guides. All sessions include a guided gallery tour and fun, interactive art activities for kids 5 – 12 years old. Download brochure as a pdf (139K)

31 August
Weave a wall hanging from hessian, wool, feathers and fur inspired by the fine mat tradition of the Samoan Islands.
Exhibition: Ie Toga

28 September
Create a family portrait from paint and collage, taking inspiration from the Samoan tradition of Aiga (family portraits). If you have any scraps of fabric at home that you would like to include, bring them along.

Design your own tattoo stencil and create a series of different coloured tattoo prints

30 November
Design and stitch your own unique artwork using coloured wools and card.
Exhibition: Stitched
