Up in the Sky | Landing Points
Race, place and identity

On the 20th anniversary of Tracey Moffatt’s work Up in the Sky, we will exhibit this seminal series in the Lewers House Gallery. In the Main Gallery, a curated exhibition – Landing Points – will, along with commissioned essays, look to Moffatt’s work as a starting point in consideration of the last 20 years of race, place and identity in Australia.

Interested in how fashion, graphic design and photography can create social meaning and a sense of place? This public program series explores the creation of contemporary modern design and the Penrith Regional Gallery site.


Term One Workshops

The Gallery runs a dynamic after-school and Saturday morning workshop program for children. Choose from the Wednesday Drawing School or the Saturday morning classes Mixed Media and Illustration & Animation. All skill levels welcome. New art making projects each term.


Southlands Emerging Artist Award – BREAKTHROUGH
Applications now open

Thanks to the support of Southlands, Penrith Performing & Visual Arts will provide $15,000 to the development of new projects by early career artists. Three breakthrough awards of $5000 each will be presented to artists, alongside an assigned mentor artist, working in the areas of music, visual arts or theatre. For the first time, one of these awards will be reserved for a First Nations artist.
