City of Plenty: Social engagement and responsibility in Visual Arts

The installation work, City of Plenty, by artist Sarah Goffman at Penrith Regional Gallery provides an opportunity to look at the ways that Visual Arts Curriculum can engage students in questions about social responsibility and justice. Artist Sarah Goffman, Gallery director and curator, Dr Lee-Anne Hall and leading Visual Arts educators, Luise Guest and Kathrine Kyriacou will present ideas about their practice and work that will be a rich resource for secondary Visual Arts teachers.

Workshops by artists and educators will also look at the ways Visual Arts teachers can use the resources offered by Penrith Regional Gallery in their own work with students.
