Look, listen, learn and create in the gallery with our wonderfully talented Gallery Guides.
All sessions include a guided gallery tour and fun, interactive art activities for kids 5-12 years old.
Cost $7 per participant bookings essential.

Weave a wall hanging from Hessian, wool, feathers and fur inspired by the fine mat tradition of the Samoan Islands.

28 September

Create a family portrait from paint and collage, taking inspiration from the Samoan tradition of Aiga (family portraits). Bring extra collage materials if you like.

26 October

Design your own tattoo stencil and create a series of different coloured tattoo prints.

A montage of movies you can’t get at the video store! Join Mu Meson Archivists Jay Katz and Miss Death from FBI FM’s Naked City (aka Jaimie and Aspasia Leonarder) in a unique film and Gallery experience. South Sea Island travelogues and ethnographic films from the 1950s to 1970s. When air travel became affordable the South Sea Islands were marketed as exotic tourist locations offering paradise. Films include Wings to Hawaii (1950s) and Land Divers of Pentecost (1970s).
