Jon Cattapan: Untitled - from Sister series of drawings 1984, pencil on paper.Tells the personal stories of people who live with schizophrenia and examines the multiple impacts of the illness on individuals, family members and society. This multidisciplinary project was presented at the Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre, Penrith and aimed to raise public awareness of one of the most stigmatised illnesses in contemporary society.
This education kit has been developed to assist New South Wales secondary teachers and students to engage with the content of the exhibition across the following syllabus areas:
English; Legal Studies; Personal Development, Health & Physical Education; and Visual Arts.

The gallery continues its focus of providing rich and relevant education material in these education kits for teachers. The kits aim to contextualise the milieu in which Gerald and Margo were working through their artistic practices and those of their contemporaries that were regular visitors to the home at Emu Plains.
