Bert Flugelman is one of Australia's leading sculptors and widely known for his large stainless steel public sculptures prominently sited in many major capitol centres throughout Australia.  In contrast to his site specific sculptures, these whimsical and rather more intimate scaled works exemplify Flugelman's creativity in exploring a wide range of ideas and approaches to the practice of sculpture.   Using found objects such as tin and other metals, wood, plastics and other materials, a series of wall sculptures have been created that meld together humour, irony and Flugelman's own sense of the absurd.
