A program of Collection based exhibitions is to be found in the Modernist Research Centre (Ancher House) which forms part of the ongoing research into the Modernist History of the site and Collection. Currently in planning stages is the exhibition, Emu Island – Modernism in Place, opening 26 August 2017.

The Modernist Research Centre regularly hosts Postgraduate Interns from the University of Sydney Art Curating and Museum and Heritage Studies, and from UNSW Art and Design.

Works from the Collection are available for institutional loan and tours. Recent Collection loans include:
